Process steps
Description of the application process

1 – APPLICATION REGISTRATION Register your application with the necessary information:

  • Injection point coordinates.
  • Planned production data.

To complete the registration of the request, you must make a payment of €3,000 (IVA not included) for the preparation of the connection estimate.

2 – ACCEPTANCE, INJECTION COMPATIBILITY AND QUOTATION
Once your application has been accepted, we will request the technical system operator to carry out the injection compatibility study based on the gas quality and the technical characteristics you have reported. Based on this, we will provide you with the technical and economic connection conditions, which you must accept in order to continue with the process.

Important: any change in the technical characteristics provided (gas quality parameters, increase in the planned production, or the need for a reverse flow device) must be made through a new application and will therefore imply a new priority order.

It is highly recommended that you request PERSONALISED ADVICE if you have any doubts before submitting the binding application.

For injection applications into distribution/secondary transmission networks, the possible responses from the technical system operator are:

  • If the application does not involve reverse flow:
    • Requested quality compatible with the facilities and sensitive end-use equipment of the gas network (formerly viable).
    • Requested quality compatible (potential RF) with the facilities and sensitive end-use equipment of the gas network, with detection of a potential need for reverse flow (if RF implementation is decided, a new application would be required) (formerly partially viable).

  • If the application involves reverse flow:
    • Requested quality compatible with the facilities and sensitive end-use equipment of the gas network, considering the demand and network configuration at the time of this simulation (formerly viable).
    • Requested quality with conditional compatibility, subject to the implementation of technical adaptation measures to comply with the provisions of Chapter 2 of Order TED/181/2025, due to the impact on the facilities and sensitive end-use equipment of the gas network, considering the demand and network configuration at the time of this simulation (formerly not viable).
    • Network with prior requests for compatible quality that does not allow the implementation of reverse flow towards the transmission network due to the impact on the facilities and sensitive end-use equipment of the gas network (formerly not viable).

3 – NEDGIA CONTRACTING AND FIRST PAYMENT
We will formalise the contract and you will have to make the initial payment for the connection.

4 – PROJECT, PERMITS AND WORK
We will begin processing the project, formalities and work necessary to complete the connection.

5 – CONTRACTING, SUPPLY AND COMMISSIONING
Once the connection has been made, you will need to formalise the energy sale contract with the supply company of your choice (CNMC).
After commissioning, you must pay the remaining amount agreed in the contract.

Additional documentation required
Prior to commissioning you must have the following documentation:
  • Accreditation of registration of the fuel gas plant in the Register of Industrial Safety Technical Installations of the corresponding Autonomous Community.
  • Accreditation of registration of the low voltage installation in the Register of Technical Installations for Industrial Safety of the corresponding Autonomous Community.
