Washing machine

Wash with cold water or at low temperatures (30ºC).

Dryer

Spin dry your clothes at maximum speed and you will consume far less energy. Use the automatic programme selection.

How to save natural gas

Put your installation in the hands of professionals

Only an authorised installation company may carry out or modify a gas installation. If you find any anomaly in the appliances or in the natural gas installation, call the technical service of the appliance manufacturer or an authorised installation company to correct it as soon as possible.

Pay attention to your installation

Good flame condition (stable and blue) shows good combustion. Prevent the hobs from going out while cooking. If the smoke from the flame stains the pans, contact the appliance manufacturer’s technical service, as this is a sign of poor combustion. Keep an eye on the condition of the flexible hoses of the appliances and ask the installers to install high-safety hoses that comply with current regulations.

Keep the installation up to date

According to current regulations, you are responsible for the maintenance of the installation and for the proper use of the installation and gas appliances. The distribution company must carry out a periodic inspection of the gas installations and the user must provide access for this to be carried out. Find out what periodic inspections consist of in more detail.

Maintain adequate ventilation

The ventilation grilles must be in perfect condition. Do not obstruct them under any circumstances. If you glaze the terrace, don’t forget to tell the workers that they have to open the vents. The flue pipe is essential for the proper functioning of the equipment. Have it installed by a specialist, following the regulations.

In prolonged absences

If you have to be away for a long period of time (more than two days) close the gas shut-off valve in your house.
