Naturgy e a Xunta de Comunidades de Castela-A Mancha impulsarán a coordinación e a comunicación en situacións de emerxencia

Naturgy, through its electricity (UFD) and gas (Nedgia) distributors, and the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration of the Regional Government of Castile-La Mancha, have signed a collaboration agreement aimed at improving coordination and communication in emergency situations affecting the facilities or users of the networks of these two distributors in the territory of Castile-La Mancha.

The agreement was signed by the Minister of Finance and Public Administration for the Regional Government of Castile-La Mancha, Juan Alfonso Ruiz, Nedgia’s Central-South Area Director, Raquel Vallejo, and UFD’s Central Area Director, Mónica Puente.

According to this agreement, Nedgia and UFD will collaborate with the Directorate General for the Protection of Citizens in the elaboration, implementation and maintenance of Civil Protection plans related to the safety and security of their facilities.

Working groups will also be created to draw up agreements and protocols that are of interest to the parties, including one on communication and coordination of emergencies with the 1-1-2 Emergency Service.

With the aim of improving the planning, preparation and effectiveness of emergency response, they will promote the exchange of knowledge and experience, as well as information on mapping, infrastructure networks, resource catalogues, weather forecasts, etc.

They will also promote joint action in studies, exercises, drills and any other activity they consider necessary to improve the effectiveness of the emergency and Civil Protection plans of the Regional Government of Castile-La Mancha.

Furthermore, they will collaborate to provide, through the Citizen Protection School, training in prevention and action in emergency situations related to the presence of electrical and gas risks, aimed at the different services involved (technical staff of the Directorate General for the Protection of Citizens, fire-fighters, security forces, healthcare workers) and also civil protection volunteers.
