Nedgia highlights the role of green gas in building energy rehabilitation

Energy rehabilitation of homes and buildings is one of today’s great challenges in moving towards a more sustainable energy model. In this context, on 5 May Nedgia participated in the Sustainability Week organised by BBVA, at the round table entitled “What next? What can we expect after the Next?”, a space for dialogue focused on how to boost decarbonisation in the residential sector.

Nedgia highlights the role of gas in the energy transition at a conference in the Spanish Parliament

On 23 April, the Parliament was the venue for a conference organised by Sedigas, the Spanish Gas Association, which analysed the role played by gas and its infrastructures in the present and future of the energy system. The meeting stressed the importance of having solid gas networks that are ready to guarantee supply, reinforce energy security and support the country’s industrial activity.

CEO of Nedgia, Raúl Suárez, appointed Vice-President of GD4S, the European association of gas distributors

Gas Distributors for Sustainability (GD4S), the association that represents Europe's leading gas distribution companies, announced the appointment of a new President and Vice-President at its recent General Assembly held in London. The distribution network and green gas: keys to future energy independence

At a time when geopolitical instability and volatile energy markets are raising doubts among citizens, it is more important than ever to have reliable information and a long-term view. For this reason, our CEO, Raúl Suárez, recently took part in RNE's Fin de Mes programme to analyse how the international context is affecting energy supply and what role the gas system plays in Spain.

Gas networks, key to a secure and sustainable energy transition

Business daily Cinco Días has published an opinion article by Raúl Suárez, CEO of Nedgia, in which he analyses the strategic role of gas distribution networks in the current context of energy transition. He highlights how these infrastructures enable us to move towards a more sustainable energy model without sacrificing security of supply, efficiency or competitiveness.

Biomethane: a reality in the energy transition

Biomethane is a renewable gas produced by treating different types of organic waste. Injecting it into the distribution network means that this green gas can be used for exactly the same purposes as conventional natural gas, offering a sustainable alternative that is fully compatible with current infrastructures.
